Fear probably steals more people’s destinies than anything else. Ask yourself what you would do if you were ten times bolder. If you answered anything other than what you are doing, then fear is already reducing your destiny!Courageous people are not fearless, they are people who refuse to let fear tell them what to do. Fear often protects treasures, valuables, and divine destinies! Fear is a spirit whose mission is to strategically demoralize its victims and scare them out of their God given purpose. Here are 10 things to do when you are afraid:1. Realize that fear is not from God!1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.2. Remember your testimonies (they are weapons of warfare).Psalms 78:9-11 The sons of Ephraim were archers equipped with bows, Yet they turned back in the day of battle. They did not keep the covenant of God and refused to walk in His law; They forgot His deeds and His miracles that He had shown them.3. Remember the work you are doing is noble.Nehemiah 6:3 So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?”4. Remember who you are!Nehemiah 6:11 But I said, “Should a man like me flee? And could one such as I go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.”5. Trust Jesus to keep you.Jude 24-25 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.6. When we are weak, He is strong!2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.7. Don’t be alarmed!Philippians 1:28 in no way alarmed by your opponents—which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.8. Don’t be afraid!Isaiah 54:14 “In righteousness you will be established; You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; And from terror, for it will not come near you.9. Choose strength and courage.Joshua 1:6-9 “Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”10.
